Sam Heughan<\/a>, who stars as Danny.<\/p>\nSpeaking about filming the series, Dennis (Outnumbered) said: \u201cSam throws me in a wheelie bin. That was great. I didn\u2019t have any scenes with Alfie or Eleanor, but everybody\u2019s there at the same time.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou\u2019re sitting around, everybody has lunch together. And Sam apologises for how hard he\u2019s had to thrust me into the wheelie bin. It\u2019s always nice to have good people around, because half of it in acting is the downtime, isn\u2019t it?\u201d<\/p>\n
While throwing someone in the bin seems particularly harsh, based on Dennis\u2019s description of Alan, it was probably deserved.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s a guy with almost no redeeming features,\u201d said Dennis of his character. \u201cAnd he is dark. <\/span><\/p>\n\u201cThe briefing notes say he is a \u2018peeping Tom\u2019, but the way I was trying to play him is a man dealing with ageing very badly. His frustration and melancholy turns to bitterness, which made him very interesting to me.\u201d<\/span><\/p> The thriller revolves around two married couples \u2013 Evie and Pete, who have recently moved into an \u201cupscale neighbourhood\u201d, and their neighbours, Danny and Becka.<\/p>\n
The series follows the couples as they get \u201cincreasingly close\u201d to one another, but soon their lives change forever.<\/p>\n
Elsewhere, the cast includes Eleanor Tomlinson (Poldark), Alfred Enoch (How to Get Away with Murder) and Jessica De Gouw (The Secrets She Keeps).<\/p>
