Fans were treated to the first of three anniversary specials \u2013 The Star Beast<\/a> \u2013 over the weekend, Ncuti Gatwa was added to An Adventure in Space and Time<\/a> ahead of his upcoming debut as the Fifteenth Doctor, and Russell T Davies will be the subject of a BBC Imagine\u2026 episode before the New Year.<\/p>\n The broadcaster previously announced its docuseries would return, with a release date for Davies\u2019s episode now confirmed: Monday 18th December at 10:40pm.<\/p>\n Viewers can tune in on BBC One for a deep dive into the celebrated showrunner as he prepares to take the Doctor Who reins once more.<\/p>\n The documentary, subtitled The Doctor and Me, will take fans behind the scenes at Cardiff\u2019s Bad Wolf Studios, where they\u2019ll get a glimpse at filming and a tour of new sets.<\/p>\n And it\u2019s not just Davies who\u2019ll be featured, of course.<\/p>\n Both Gatwa and Tennant will also appear, as well as the likes of Helena Bonham Carter, Olly Alexander, Sally Wainwright and Caitlin Moran, all of whom will be interviewed for the episode.<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n The documentary will slot in nicely between the final episode featuring Tennant, which is set to air on 9th December, and Gatwa\u2019s Christmas Day special, tiding fans over until the sci-fi\u2019s new era is officially ushered in.<\/p> Imagine\u2026 Russell T Davies: The Doctor and Me will air on BBC One Monday 18th December at 10:40pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n Doctor Who\u2019s second anniversary special Wild Blue Yonder airs at 6:30pm on Saturday 2nd December on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
