That\u2019s right, India Fisher is back. The actress played Edwardian adventuress Charlotte \u2018Charley\u2019 Elspeth Pollard in 2001\u2019s Storm Warning.<\/p>\n
That adventure also marked Paul McGann\u2019s debut with Big Finish Productions.<\/p>\n
Fisher\u2019s return confirms that McGann\u2019s adventures with Jaye Griffiths\u2019s Lady Audacity take place during Charley\u2019s original run of stories with the Doctor.<\/p>\n
RadioTimes.com<\/a> can exclusively reveal the audio\u2019s cover, which shows the trio in costume and teases plenty of festive cheer ahead.<\/p>\n Speaking about the special, Fisher said: \u201cLady Audacity Montague \u2013 what a great name! I\u2019ve come in at the end of their first three episodes together, and we\u2019ve now come into a Christmassy box set.<\/p>\n \u201cJaye Griffiths, who plays Audacity, is just magnificent, and we make each other laugh far too much!<\/p>\n \u201cAs characters, Charley and Audacity have bonded very quickly, perhaps because they\u2019ve very similar \u2013 they\u2019re both quite prim, they\u2019re quite forthright, but have a sisterly love between them, looking out for each other.\u201d<\/p>\n Griffiths added: \u201cAudacity has gone off to see the universe with the Doctor, and all of a sudden, she is introduced to Charley, this other woman who\u2019s very modern and yet vulnerable \u2013 it\u2019s been wonderful.<\/p>\n \u201cIndia makes me laugh so much, we\u2019ve had a great time in studio together. These are great stories.\u201d<\/p> \u00a0<\/p>\n Producer David Richardson said: \u201cI\u2019m a big fan of having two companions. The trick is finding two characters who belong together, and Audacity and Charley really do.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat we couldn\u2019t have planned for, of course, was how much Jaye and India belong together \u2013 they came into the studio on that first day and were instant best friends. It was lovely to watch.
