The viewing figures are in for Doctor Who\u2019s<\/a> second 60th anniversary special, <\/span>Wild Blue Yonder<\/span><\/a>, which aired on last night (Saturday 2nd December).<\/span><\/p>\n The episode had an overnight rating of 4.83 million, <\/span>according to figures quoted by the BBC\u2019s entertainment correspondent Lizo Mzimba,<\/a> which marks a slight dip when compared to the first of the 60th anniversary specials, The Star Beast<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n The Star Beast <\/span>became the biggest drama launch of 2023<\/a>, as well as achieving the biggest overnight ratings for an episode of the sci-fi series since Resolution in 2019, <\/span>with an overnight audience of 5.08 million.<\/p>\n The viewing figures for Wild Blue Yonder are yet to take into account the amount of people who watched the show via catch-up, which will be available after seven days.<\/span><\/p>\n Doctor Who: Wild Blue Yonder had an overnight UK audience of 4.83 million TV viewers on BBC One last night, according BARB figures.
