Highly anticipated four-part drama Mr Bates vs The Post Office<\/a> is set to air on ITV over the festive period, and we now have a first-look trailer giving us a sense of what to expect.<\/p>\n The series, which stars Toby Jones (The Long Shadow<\/a>), Monica Dolan (Black Mirror<\/a>), Julie Hesmondhalgh (Broadchurch<\/a>) and Alex Jennings (The Crown<\/a>), tells the story of how hundreds of innocent sub-postmasters and postmistresses were wrongly accused of theft<\/a>\u00a0and false accounting due to a defective IT system.<\/p>\n In the trailer, we see Jones\u2019s Alan Bates say: \u201cWe are fighting a war against an enemy owned by the British government, while we\u2019re just skint little people.\u201d<\/p>\n You can watch the full trailer right here now.<\/p>\n
