It\u2019s been just a few months since Sarah Kendall won Taskmaster\u2019s 11th series but her time as the reigning champion is about to be cut short with the Channel 4 show\u2019s return.<\/p>\n

While we don\u2019t yet have an official release date for the highly anticipated season 12, Channel 4 did release the very first trailer for the show this week, giving fans a sneak-peak at some of the ludicrous tasks Alex Horne has designed for the five new comedians.<\/p>\n

From challenges involving virtual reality and copying Alex, to throwing forks and sitting on a cake, it looks as though the series 12 line-up get up to all sorts in the name of entertainment in the upcoming episodes.<\/p>\n

As for the celebrities taking part, Channel 4 announced the Taskmaster series 12 line-up<\/a> in May, with QI\u2019s Alan Davies, comedian Desiree Burch, Man Like Mobeen\u2019s Guz Khan, The Windsors star Morgana Robinson and Only Connect\u2019s Victoria Coren Mitchell making their Taskmaster debut later this year.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s everything we know so far about Taskmaster season 12 \u2013 who\u2019ll be taking part and when we can expect it to arrive on our screens.<\/p>\n

Taskmaster series 12 release date<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Channel 4 is yet to announce the official release date for Taskmaster\u2019s 12th series. However the broadcaster has revealed that it will arrive on our screens later in 2021<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

We shouldn\u2019t face any COVID-related delays for the upcoming series as both series 10 and 11 were filmed during the pandemic and there was a pretty quick turnaround between the two seasons \u2013 series 10 finished in December 2020, while series 11 began in March 2021.<\/p>\n

If Channel 4 are to follow a similar pattern to the two previous series, we should expect series 12 to air in\u00a0autumn 2021<\/strong> \u2013 however, it\u2019s possible that it may be pushed back to later in the year if a Champion of Champion series airs in-between series 11 and 12.<\/p>
