Actor Charlie Suff is joining the cast, taking over from Sam Strike and Ted Reilly. <\/p>

Johnny Carter is heading back to EastEnders<\/a> with a new face.<\/div>\n\n
The second son of Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and Mick Carter (Danny Dyer), Johnny was previously played by Sam Strike from 2013 to 2014 and then by Ted Reilly from 2016 to 2018.<\/div>\n\n
Now newcomer Charlie Suff will be taking on the role of Linda\u2019s \u2018sausage\u2019 as he makes a return from Manchester after over five years away.<\/div>\n\n
Speaking about joining the cast of EastEnders, Charlie Suff said: \u201cI\u2019m so delighted to be joining such an iconic programme \u2013 EastEnders was always on at my house when I was growing up.<\/div>\n\n
\u201cJohnny is a complex character who has been through so much, which I can\u2019t wait to explore.<\/div>\n\n
\u201cI\u2019ve found EastEnders to be the most kind and loving space to work in, and I already feel like one of the family.\u201d<\/div>\n\n

Meanwhile, executive producer Chris Clenshaw, added: \u201cI\u2019m delighted to welcome Charlie Suff to the role of Johnny Carter.<\/div>\n\n
\u201cAlthough we haven\u2019t seen Johnny on the Square in almost five years, his character remains linked to the show and its most iconic venue, The Queen Vic.<\/div>\n\n
\u201cSince his short time away, the Carter family dynamics have changed significantly, and it\u2019s safe to say that Johnny will be returning to a very different Walford than the one he left.\u201d<\/div>\n

Johnny\u2019s biggest storylines in the show included his emotional coming out story in 2014 and then when he was accidentally shot during his second stint by Ted Murray and survived.<\/div>\n
