For years, it seemed inconceivable that we would ever hear a new song from The Beatles, following <\/span>the deaths of John Lennon and George Harrison in 1980 and 2001 respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n

But 43 after Lennon\u2019s death, and more than two decades on from Harrison\u2019s passing, the seemingly impossible happened in November 2023 \u2013\u00a0the release of a new Beatles song.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Fab Four were reunited for what has been described as their final new song<\/a> together, entitled Now and Then.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now and Then<\/a> was initially written and recorded by John Lennon in the 1970s and later developed by other band members in 1995, but limited technology meant they were unhappy with the sound quality.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

However, AI technology pioneered by Peter Jackson enabled Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Ringo Starr to <\/span>lift Lennon\u2019s voice from the demo and turn it into a song featuring all four members.<\/span><\/p>\n

The farewell song was accompanied by <\/span>a<\/span>\u00a0Jackson-led music video<\/span><\/a> as well as a 12-minute documentary film<\/a> written and directed by Oliver Murray, <\/span>featuring exclusive footage and commentary from Paul, Ringo, George, Sean Ono Lennon and Jackson.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
