It’s the end of a (second) era – or is it? <\/p>
Warning: Spoilers ahead for Doctor Who\u2019s final 60th anniversary special, The Giggle.<\/strong><\/p>\n Doctor Who<\/a> fans have reacted with delight and emotion as David Tennant departed the show once more \u2013 but is it for good?<\/p>\n The Giggle saw the Fourteenth Doctor face one of his oldest and most terrifying enemies, the Toymaker<\/a>, originally played by Michael Gough and this time brought to life by Neil Patrick Harris.<\/p>\n With the world driven mad, the Toymaker also taunted the Doctor and Donna Noble<\/a> (Catherine Tate), bombarding them with tricks and games.<\/p>\n In a shocking twist, the Fourteenth Doctor (Tennant) regenerated at the hands of the Toymaker but instead he \u2018bi-generated\u2019 and two Doctors were left<\/a> \u2013 the Fourteenth and the new Fifteenth Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa).<\/p>\n
