Following the success of The Traitors<\/a>, Netflix has ordered an eight-part reality series centred around the theme of greed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Hosted by journalist and former CNN correspondent Brooke Baldwin, The Trust: A Game of Greed will bring a group of strangers together and give them the opportunity to either split a quarter of a million dollars evenly or vote each other out and keep more for themselves.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The show is produced by Grandma\u2019s House Entertainment, the company behind <\/span>TBS\u2019s <\/span>The Misery Index and E!\u2019s Catching Kelce,<\/span>\u00a0and Lighthearted Entertainment, the company behind <\/span>The Big D <\/span>and<\/span> MTV\u2019s<\/span> Are You the One?.<\/span><\/p>\n

But when will it land on the streamer and what will the game entail? Read on for everything you need to know.<\/p>\n

The Trust: A Game of Greed release date<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Trust: A Game of Greed will land on Netflix on 10th January 2024<\/strong>, with fresh episodes dropping weekly.<\/span><\/p>\n

Netflix announced the new series on Friday 8th December, shortly after releasing the final episode of Squid Game: The Challenge<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Netflix reality show will bring together a group of strangers and give them a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: split a quarter of a million dollars equally among themselves.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Contestants will be given the opportunity to anonymously vote each other out, increasing their individual share of the total prize plot. <\/span>Only one vote is needed to eliminate a contestant.<\/span><\/p>\n

The contestants will also take part in a series of tests designed to test each player\u2019s loyalty.<\/span><\/p>\n

The official synopsis reads: \u201cIt\u2019s the ultimate test of human nature, as greed and mistrust threaten to destroy even the strongest of relationships. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIn this game, everyone starts as winners and they can all leave as winners \u2013 if they choose to share.\u201d<\/span><\/p>

The first trailer has landed, giving fans a first glimpse at the show\u2019s cast.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a police officer, but I tell people I\u2019m a stripper,\u201d one player tells the camera, before another adds, \u201c<\/span>We\u2019ve got a house full of liars.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The footage also shows the contestants opening a box containing secrets about the players. \u201c<\/span>I slept with over 150 people,\u201d one note reads.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
