Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Camden Toy has died at the age of 68.<\/span><\/p>\n

He starred as monsters and demons in the iconic series, playing Gnarl in a season 7 episode and appearing as the Ubervamp in various episodes.<\/span><\/p>\n

He also starred as\u00a0one of the Gentlemen in the Emmy-nominated season 4 episode Hush.<\/span><\/p>\n

Toy died at his home in California on the evening of Monday 11th December. His death was announced by friends on Facebook.<\/span><\/p>\n

His partner Bethany Henderson revealed that he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer two years ago.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFor many reasons we were very hopeful for, at least, a longer and more fruitful time on planet Earth,\u201d she <\/span>wrote on 8th December.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cEven the more recent challenges felt more like a hiccup in progress.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately, it looks like we\u2019ve reached the end of the road with the doctor\u2019s treatment. His condition has declined a lot in the last two months and tremendously in the last several days.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Toy grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, before moving to Los Angeles and becoming one of the founding members of the Nada Theatre.<\/p>\n

As well as Buffy the Vampire Slayer<\/a>, which aired from 1997 until 2003, <\/span>Toy also starred in the show\u2019s spin-off Angel as a vampire called Prince of Lies.<\/span><\/p>\n

Other credits include The Insider\u2019s Guide to Film School, The Bay, Average Joe and a voice role on Call of Duty: Vanguard.<\/p>\n

Tributes have been flooding in for Toy on social media following the sad news of his passing.<\/p>\n

James C Leary, who played the demon Clem, shared a picture of him and Toy together and wrote<\/a> on X (formerly Twitter): \u201cThe world lost a delightfully maniacal, abundantly kind, and overwhelmingly generous soul last night.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI had the pleasure and privilege to travel the world, tread the boards, and sail the seas with <\/span><\/span>@Camden_Toy <\/span>and I shall cherish every moment. Rest easy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Horror actor Bill Moseley also shared<\/a>: \u201cRIP Camden Toy. I\u2019ll miss you, brother.\u201d<\/span><\/p> <\/body><\/html>\n
