We\u2019re only a day away from The Crown<\/a> drawing to a close with the second part of season 6.<\/p>\n The first batch of episodes dealt with the months and events leading up to the death of Princess Diana, played by Elizabeth Debicki<\/a>.<\/p>\n The second part of the season<\/a>, released on Thursday 14th December, will follow the years that came after Diana\u2019s death, chronicling events such as the Queen\u2019s Golden Jubilee, but will also follow the younger generation of royals.<\/p>\n Because of this, the show will explore the teenage and young adult years of Princes William and Harry, who will be played in part 2 by new actors Ed McVey and Luther Ford<\/a> respectively.<\/p>\n So far in the series, there hasn\u2019t been as much of a focus on the young royals, but in upcoming episodes, familial dynamics and new relationships are set to be explored \u2013 but will we get any insight into how William and Harry\u2019s brotherly relationship is behind closed doors?<\/p>\n Well, chatting exclusively to RadioTimes.com<\/a> about their roles as the princes, Ford said: \u201cI think the main thing that Peter [Morgan] was interested in exploring was brotherhood, and what comes with that is quite a complicated relationship between siblings.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd what\u2019s hopefully nice and good about it is that their relationship isn\u2019t black and white. There is love between them, but also there\u2019s jealousy and competition and tension because they\u2019re within this institution.\u201d<\/p> McVey, who plays Prince William, also said: \u201cPeter was also really interested in family dynamics as a whole, in regards to our relationships with our parents in the show and just in general.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd the family in the show is depicted going through really hard times and ups and downs, and we can all as people in families connect to those times when you\u2019re going through it and you don\u2019t know where to project that anger, and you just don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n \u201cYou\u2019re trying to make sense of a situation which you can\u2019t make sense of.\u201d<\/p>\n McVey continued: \u201cIt\u2019s brothers \u2013 as Luther said, it\u2019s not black and white. It\u2019s day to day, it\u2019s second to second, because you\u2019re so close to that person. It\u2019s changing all the time.<\/p>\n \u201cFor me, personally, being a younger brother, they can say one word and it can affect you, they can say another word and you might be angry with them.<\/p>\n \u201cThey just know what to say to you, and that\u2019s what you really see between our relationship, especially with Harry towards William, where he\u2019s the only one in the room that can just look at him and a smile comes to his face. It\u2019s so organic, and I really connected to that.<\/p>\n \u201cBut fundamentally, there\u2019s this rug between them, and that\u2019s really interesting. And it\u2019s not something they chose, and they can\u2019t do anything about it. And it\u2019s not their fault, it\u2019s just part of what they\u2019re going through, and that\u2019s incredibly interesting from a story perspective.\u201d<\/p>\n Read more:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n The pair are also joined by new cast member Meg Bellamy, who will be starring as Kate Middleton, and who will be recreating the meeting scene between William and Kate, which unfolded in 2002 at the St Andrews fashion show which Kate took part in.<\/p>\n\n
