Following its stage debut, Peaky Blinders<\/a> ballet <\/span>The Redemption of Thomas Shelby <\/span>will be available to watch at home over the Christmas period.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 1 hour 75 minute performance, which <\/span>was adapted for the stage by show creator Steven Knight, <\/span>opens in the Flanders <\/span>trenches before<\/span> following the Shelby patriarch and his family in post-war industrial Birmingham.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTommy is intoxicated by mysterious newcomer Grace,\u201d reads the official synopsis. \u201cWhile he\u2019s building his empire, Grace is operating as an undercover agent for Special Branch on a mission to get close to the heart of Tommy\u2019s gang.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAs the story unfolds, hearts are broken, and revenge is sought.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Watch it on Monday 1st January at <\/strong>9:25pm on BBC Four<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The late Benjamin Zephaniah<\/a>, who played street preacher <\/span>Jeremiah Jesus in the TV series, narrates key moments in the performance, which was choreographed by Benoit Swan Pouffer,\u00a0artistic director of the Rambert Dance Company.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
The<\/span><\/span><\/span> on-stage band will also perform<\/span> specially commissioned music by Roman GianArthur and iconic Peaky tracks from Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Radiohead, Anna Calvi, The Last Shadow Puppets, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.<\/span><\/p>\n
