Jon Hamm is set to lead a new Apple TV+<\/a> drama, Your Friends and Neighbours, as per Deadline<\/a>.<\/p>\n The drama series will see Hamm star and executive produce, making it his first leading live-action role in an ongoing series since Mad Men according to Variety<\/a>.<\/p>\n While not much is known about who else will star in the series, an insight has been given into Hamm\u2019s character and what viewers can expect from the show.<\/p>\n The actor will star as Coop, \u201ca recently divorced hedge fund manager, who, after being fired, resorts to stealing from the wealthy residents in his Tony upstate New York suburb in order to keep his family\u2019s life style afloat.\u201d<\/p> The petty crimes he takes on will \u201creinvigorate\u201d Hamm\u2019s character \u201cuntil he breaks into the wrong house at the wrong time.\u201d<\/p>\n Screenwriter and novelist Jonathan Tropper (The Adam Project<\/a>) will also executive produce the series along with Connie Travel (Confess Fletch<\/a>).<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n Hamm is showing no signs of slowing down as he\u2019s currently starring in Apple TV+\u2019s The Morning Show<\/a> and FX\u2019s new season of Fargo as well as his upcoming animated series Grimsburg.<\/p>\n Hamm joined The Morning show in season 3, as arrogant corporate titan Paul Marks.<\/p>\n Describing Hamm\u2019s character, executive producer and director Mimi Leder told RadioTimes.com<\/a> that he \u201ccomes in as the saviour\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n She explained: \u201cHe comes in as the saviour, as this rich guy who\u2019s going to change everything, and change UBA and come in as an accelerant.<\/p>\n \u201cHe comes in as this power figure and he\u2019s a very strong character, a strong, handsome man. He\u2019s this billionaire and innovative genius, but he\u2019s a lot more complicated than all of that.
