If, like us, you simply can\u2019t wait for another dose of The Great British Sewing Bee<\/a>, you won\u2019t have to wait very long, as the show is making a return for a celebrity Christmas special.<\/p>\n

Four celebrities will will be taking on challenges as they compete against one another to be named Britain\u2019s best home sewer.<\/p>\n

As well as four new celebrities taking part in the special, there will be a new face on hosting duties this year.<\/p>\n

Actor Kiell Smith-Bynoe joins the show as its new host, replacing Sara Pascoe for the Christmas special and season 10 after she recently gave birth to her second child.<\/p>

The news of Smith-Bynoe\u2019s hosting gig was announced back in October<\/a>, with the official Sewing Bee X (formerly known as Twitter) account confirming the news.<\/p>\n

The post read: \u201cWe\u2019re bursting at the seams that Kiell Smith-Bynoe has stepped in to host this year\u2019s Christmas Special and Series 10.\u2063 (Sending lots of love to Sara and her new baby!) #SewingBee.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kiell Smith-Bynoe is an actor, best known for his role in the hit BBC comedy Ghosts<\/a> as Mike Cooper.<\/p>\n

After five glorious seasons, Ghosts will come to an end following one final send off in this year\u2019s Christmas special<\/a>.<\/p>\n

His other notable roles include Dean in Stath Lets Flats, Spence in Dreamland and Denzel in Live at the Moth Club.<\/p>\n

He has also competed in various entertainment game shows, including Celebrity Catchphrase, Richard Osman\u2019s House of Games, Taskmaster<\/a> and The Weakest Link.<\/p>\n

Kiell previously took part in the 2021 Christmas special, sewing to his hearts content alongside Rev Kate Bottley, Antony Cotton and Anneka Rice.<\/p>\n

Commenting on the news of his new hosting gig, Kiell wrote: \u201cI got 99 problems but a stitch ain\u2019t one. Filling the big knitted shoes of Sara Pascoe as host of The Great British Sewing Bee Series 10.\u201d<\/p>
