A live concert of Joker is coming to London in February. Here’s how you can get tickets now. <\/p>

Let\u2019s put a smile on that face \u2013 yes, we know that\u2019s the wrong film \u2013 this winter, a live concert of Todd Phillips\u2019s Joker will be coming to London for a one-off screening.<\/p>\n

The ground-breaking supervillain film is set to be shown at London\u2019s Royal Festival Hall in February while an orchestra performs the soundtrack live on stage.<\/p>\n

Starring Joaquin Phoenix as the titular villain, Joker is an intensely dark dive into one of the most loved and feared villains of all time; telling the story of Arthur Fleck, a troubled man struggling to find his way in Gotham City\u2019s fractured society, the movie takes a disturbing look at the brutal realities of mental health, crime, and class divides.<\/p>\n

First coming out in 2019, Joker was hailed for its gruelling reimagining of an already iconic character and won multiple BAFTAs and Academy Awards for its lead actor and, in particular, its soundtrack.<\/p>\n

Joker won Best Original Music\/Score at both thanks to the work put in by composer Hildur Gu\u00f0nad\u00f3ttir, and it\u2019s his efforts that will be celebrated at the live concert. On the subject of this upcoming show, Gu\u00f0nad\u00f3ttir said: \u201cI\u2019m thrilled to get to see and hear Joker with a live orchestra. When we recorded the music, the orchestra brought such depth and detailed attention to the performances that we were all literally holding our breaths during most of the recording sessions. It was a beautiful trip. I\u2019m so happy to get to go there again and for an audience to experience that too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, director Todd Phillips added: \u201cI speak for the entire Joker team when I say how thrilled we are to be working with Senbla on Joker \u2013 Live In Concert. I think its a wonderful way for audiences to experience Hildur Gu\u00f0nad\u00f3ttir\u2018s haunting and immersive score while bearing witness to Joaquin Phoenix\u2019s descent into madness as Arthur.\u201d<\/p>\n
