James Gunn has confirmed when upcoming DC reboot Superman: Legacy<\/a> will start filming, while also correcting an inaccurate plot detail circulating the internet.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a lot riding on the much-anticipated blockbuster, which is intended to get the entire DC franchise back on track following a string of box office flops \u2013 including Shazam: Fury of the Gods<\/a>, The Flash<\/a> and Blue Beetle<\/a>.<\/p>\n

David Corenswet (Netflix\u2019s Hollywood) and Rachel Brosnahan (Prime Video\u2019s The Marvelous Mrs Maisel<\/a>) have been cast as Superman and Lois Lane, replacing Henry Cavill and Amy Adams in the iconic comic book roles.<\/p>\n

Superman: Legacy writer-director Gunn, who is also co-head of DC Studios, responded to a post on Threads<\/a> which gave the film a speculative, unofficial synopsis.<\/p>\n

It read: \u201cSuperman, a cub reporter in Metropolis, embarks on a journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent.\u201d<\/p>\n
Gunn took to the Meta-owned social media platform to issue the following correction: \u201cNot sure where this logline came from. I didn\u2019t write it. It has elements of truth (obviously based on things I\u2019ve said in the past).<\/p>\n
\u201cBut I wouldn\u2019t describe the plot this way [and] I wouldn\u2019t call Clark a cub reporter. He\u2019s a thirty-year-old full-on reporter.\u201d<\/p>\n
