British professional wrestler Kurtis Chapman, who was best known as Mad Kurt, has died at the age of 26.<\/span><\/p>\n The news of his death was confirmed on Friday morning (29th December) by British wrestling promotion Revolution Pro.<\/span><\/p>\n They wrote<\/a> in a statement: \u201cWe, at Revolution Pro Wrestling are absolutely heartbroken to report the loss of our dear friend Kurtis Chapman.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe watched Kurtis grow from a child to a young man who loved professional wrestling and continued to excel in all aspects of his life.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cOne of the most gifted technical wrestlers, charismatic characters and magnetic personalities. He will never be forgotten.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n A cause of death is yet to be confirmed.<\/span><\/p>\n Chapman began his wrestling career back in 2014, and soon became known for his light-hearted ring style. <\/span><\/p>\n He went on to<\/span> compete in PROGRESS Wrestling, IPW and many more promotions across the UK.<\/span><\/p>\n In 2018, he won the RevPro British Cruiserweight Title, holding the belt for six months.<\/span><\/p>\n His final match came back in June 2023, in which he successfully defended his Resurgence Arthouse Championship title.<\/span><\/p>\n Tributes have been flooding in for Chapman following the tragic news of his passing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Professional wrestler \u2018Big Wavy\u2019 Roy Johnson wrote<\/a> on Twitter, which was recently re-branded as X: \u201cAwful news. Kurtis was such a character and so fun to be around. RIP.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n ATTACK!
