It has been reported by The Sun<\/a> that Lisa George<\/a>, who plays Beth Tinker in the soap, is set to leave the long-running series after starring in the role for 13 years.<\/p>\n It\u2019s believed that George is still filming but her final scenes are set to air over summer in 2024. RadioTimes.com<\/strong> has reached out to ITV for comment.<\/p>\n George first entered the soap in 2011 as the ex-girlfriend of Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) but was later brought back as a regular cast member.<\/p>\n Her storylines have centred around her son Craig (Colson Smith), who is now a police officer, as well as more recently seeing Beth nearly cheat on her husband Kirk Sutherland (Andy Whyment) with Marco (Paul Albertson).<\/p>\n It comes after previous reports in October 2023 that George had actually signed a new contract amid rumours of her exit at the time.<\/p>\n Speaking to The Mirror<\/a> at the Pride of Britain Awards, George revealed: \u201cI\u2019ve got a new contract. It\u2019s really weird, everyone was saying, \u2018You\u2019re leaving, you\u2019re leaving.\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cI was asked about my contract and I said I was waiting, and so they asked what I\u2019d like to do if I didn\u2019t get one and I said Call the Midwife. That\u2019s all I said \u2013 it was a passing comment \u2013 then the next thing, everyone is ringing me like, \u2018You\u2019re leaving, you\u2019re leaving.\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cI was like no, what\u2019s all this, no, I don\u2019t know anything about it.
