The No Time To Die star Lashana Lynch discusses who could replace Daniel Craig as the next Bond. <\/p>
Daniel Craig\u2019s James Bond swan song should be hitting cinemas at the end of the month, with No Time To Die<\/a> introducing a brand new villain in the shape of Rami Malek\u2019s Safin \u2013 who, it has been confirmed by director Cary Joji Fukunaga, isn\u2019t Dr No<\/a> \u2013 and new allies, including Lashana Lynch\u2019s new 007 agent, Nomi.<\/p>\n The Captain Marvel star has revealed what she thinks about the next Bond as her character Nomi prepares to take up the 007 mantle as the new agent on the block.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are in a place in time where the industry is not just giving audiences what it thinks the audience wants,\u201d Lynch told The Guardian<\/a>. \u201cThey\u2019re actually giving the audience what they<\/em> want to give the audience.\u201d<\/p> She added: \u201cWith Bond, it could be a man or woman. They could be white, black, Asian, mixed race. They could be young or old. At the end of the day, even if a two-year-old was playing Bond, everyone would flock to the cinema to see what this two-year-old\u2019s gonna do, no?\u201d<\/p>\n Broccoli had previously said that the role \u201cwill have to be reimagined, in the way each actor has reimagined the role\u201d, following Craig\u2019s exit.<\/p>\n She added, \u201cHe doesn\u2019t need to be a white man. Not as far as I\u2019m concerned,\u201d before saying she thought they should \u201ccreate roles for women, not just turn a man into a woman\u201d,<\/p>\n Either way, we don\u2019t have long to go before Craig bows out and attention turns to the next chapter of Bond.<\/p>\n No Time To Die will be released in UK cinemas on 30th September.
