The actress has so far appeared in two different Doctor Who specials. <\/p>

After Doctor Who<\/a>\u2018s 60th anniversary specials and the 2023 Christmas special, The Church on Ruby Road<\/a>, we\u2019ve been left with a fair few mysteries \u2013 including why actress Susan Twist keeps cropping up as various different characters.<\/p>\n

Eagle-eyed fans have noticed that Twist appeared in two separate Doctor Who episodes in quick succession \u2013 in Wild Blue Yonder<\/a> as Mrs Merridew and she also appeared at a concert in the Church on Ruby Road.<\/p>\n

While it\u2019s not out of the ordinary for actors to play different roles in the show, it\u2019s definitely unusual for it to happen this quickly \u2013 leading fans to wonder if there\u2019s more to her than meets the eye.<\/p>\n

So, who could Susan Twist\u2019s character be? Fans have plenty of theories.<\/p>\n

Who is Susan Twist\u2019s character in Doctor Who?<\/strong><\/h2>\n
So, first of all Twist cropped up in the opening scenes of Wild Blue Yonder as a maid accompanying Isaac Newton (played by Nathaniel Curtis). She was only seen briefly in the episode but the character was named as Mrs Merridew.<\/p>\n
Next, fans noticed Twist at the concert played by Ruby\u2019s band in The Church on Ruby Road. This time she was playing an unnamed character who made a request of the band: \u201cCan you do Gaudete?\u201d<\/p>\n
Gaudete, which means \u2018Rejoice Ye\u2019 in Latin, is a Christmas carol thought to have been composed in the 16th century. We\u2019re not sure if this will have any bearing in the show\u2019s future but, when it comes to showrunner Russell T Davies, nothing can be overlooked!<\/p>\n
