Warner Bros Discovery clearly wants more from Harry Potter. <\/p>

There\u2019s no denying that Hogwarts Legacy<\/a> was one of the biggest games of last year, with millions of Harry Potter<\/a> fans jumping at the chance to enrol in that iconic wizarding school and unravel a mystery decades before The Boy Who Lived was even born.<\/p>\n

Thanks to a new interview by Variety<\/a>, we now know exactly how many units were sold in 2023 for the game.<\/p>\n

Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment president David Haddad confirms in the article that 22 million copes were sold by the end of the year, with two of those millions being shifted during the December holiday season.<\/p>\n

Haddad added: \u201cBut it\u2019s not just the unit sold that I\u2019m so proud of, it\u2019s just that it delighted the fans so much [\u2026] It brought Harry Potter to life in a new way for gamers where they could be themselves in this world, in this story.\u201d But this leads us to a question.<\/p>\n

Will there be a Hogwarts Legacy follow-up?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Although Haddad did not outright announce a follow-up in this interview, he did admit that \u201ca series of other things\u201d are in the works that will continue bringing the Harry Potter brand to gamers.<\/p>\n

Haddad promises that these upcoming projects, which include the already-announced Quidditch Champions<\/a> game, \u201cwill let the fans be part of this world and stories and characters in deeper and deeper ways\u201d.<\/p>\n

We would be very surprised if Hogwarts Legacy 2 or another Wizarding World title from its developers at Avalanche, wasn\u2019t on that list.<\/p>\n

But for now, no Hogwarts Legacy DLC<\/a> or full sequel has been officially announced. We\u2019d say it looks likely based on these quotes, but you never can tell what\u2019s going on behind the scenes.<\/p>

As for Quidditch Champions, a sports title that will centre on the magical sport that was infamously absent in Hogwarts Legacy, Haddad added:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe don\u2019t have any particular announcements on exactly how and when [the Quidditch game] is going to come to the market, but we are working to get it designed in a way just to delight fans\u201d.<\/p>\n
