Paramount Plus\u2019s Halo<\/a> series is on its way back for season 2<\/a> \u2013 and it looks bigger than ever.<\/p>\n

A new trailer for the series has been unveiled, showing mass destruction as Master Chief John-117 (Pablo Schreiber) leads his army of Spartans against the alien threat, the Covenant.<\/p>\n

In his search for humanity\u2019s salvation, the Halo, he\u2019s ready to risk it all.<\/p>\n

We don\u2019t have too long to wait now until Halo season 2 \u2013 here\u2019s everything we know so far.<\/p>\n

Halo season 2 release date<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Halo season 2 will premiere on Paramount Plus<\/a> on Thursday <\/strong>8th February 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first two episodes will be available and the rest will drop weekly.<\/p>\n

What will the plot of Halo season 2 be?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

An official synopsis released by Paramount Plus reads: \u201cIn season 2, Master Chief John-117 (Pablo Schreiber) leads his team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIn the wake of a shocking event on a desolate planet, John cannot shake the feeling that his war is about to change and risks everything to prove what no one else will believe \u2013 that the Covenant is preparing to attack humanity\u2019s greatest stronghold.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWith the galaxy on the brink, John embarks on a journey to find the key to humankind\u2019s salvation, or its extinction: the Halo.\u201d<\/span><\/p>

Previously speaking to RadioTimes.com<\/a> when season 2 was about to begin filming, Schreiber teased: \u201cHopefully, you know, you\u2019ll continue to see the world expand to greater and greater places as the world gets bigger and bigger.\u201d<\/p>\n

Schreiber\u2019s co-star Natascha McElhone, who plays scientist Dr Halsey told us. \u201cI\u2019ve seen a couple of scripts, but I guess I\u2019m just hoping that the season that we\u2019ve planted for the characters that you\u2019ve seen in season 1 will just continue to flourish, and we\u2019ll get deeper and darker into all of that.\u201d<\/p>\n
