Australian Open prize money has been confirmed for 2024 with a major prize pot up for grabs across the men’s, women’s and doubles. <\/p>
The Australian Open will offer a record prize pot for players to win in 2024, with significant increases throughout the rounds compared to previous editions.<\/p>\n
A grand total of $86.5m AUD (\u00a345.5m) will be shared out across the tournament with the winner to pocket a healthy $3.15m AUD (\u00a31.7m) for their exploits.<\/p>\n
Men\u2019s and women\u2019s singles prize money will be equal once again in 2024, and players who exit their respective tournaments in the early stages will receive a higher proportional rise compared to 2023.<\/p>\n
A first-round exit will earn players $120,000 AUD (\u00a363k) \u2013 a 13% rise year-on-year \u2013 with similar increases for those who are eliminated prior to the quarter-finals.<\/p>\n
Players will generally compete for glory and ranking points above all, but a healthy payday sounds like a solid way to kick-start the new year.<\/p>\n
