Amongst the 12 singles is winter Love Island finalist Demi Jones<\/a>, who has shared her hopes of wanting to \u201cembrace\u201d her body while in the villa following her cancer journey, something she has spoken openly about since leaving the show.<\/p>\n After her appearance on the reality series, Demi was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2021 after discovering a lump in her neck. Following surgery to remove the rumour, Demi confirmed in 2023 that she has been given the \u201call clear\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI think it\u2019s definitely changed me as a person,\u201d she told RadioTimes.com<\/a> and other press ahead of her All Stars<\/a> stint.<\/p>\n She continued: \u201cIt has made me so much more confident. And you know, my body has changed. I\u2019ve been sick for two years, cancer free as of December. So it\u2019s been so wild.<\/p>\n \u201cMy body has gone through so many changes mentally and physically. So I\u2019ve got to appreciate things so much more. And I feel like I\u2019m gonna embrace my body.\u201d<\/p>\n Demi originally appeared on Love Island back in 2020, when ITV introduced a winter series. She entered the villa as a bombshell and came in third place alongside Luke Mabbott, however they went their separate ways four months after leaving the show.<\/p>\n The islander is now part of the original line-up for the All Stars series, and will be living alongside the likes of Georgia Harrison<\/a>, Toby Aromolaran<\/a>, Chris Taylor<\/a> and Liberty Poole<\/a>.<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n While in the villa, Demi hopes she can be \u201ca role model for younger girls\u201d, to show that they don\u2019t have to \u201clook a certain way to get on Love Island\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cI hope again, I can be an advocate for cancer awareness.
