While viewers thought the frosty reception would end with Jake<\/a> and Liberty<\/a>, they were in for a treat when former couple Molly Smith<\/a> and Callum Jones<\/a> came face-to-face on Love Island: All Stars<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The awkward moment came as Maya Jama<\/a> introduced two new bombshells to the cast, revealing that Callum had the option to either split up one of the existing couples or couple up with Molly.<\/p>\n

As many Love Island fans are aware, Molly and Callum first met on the first winter edition of the show back in 2020 and a lot of stunned viewers were under the impression<\/a> the couple were still together.<\/p>\n

So, what actually went down between the pair? Read on for a breakdown of Molly and Callum\u2019s Love Island journey and their subsequent split.<\/p>

What happened between Molly and Callum on Love Island?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Callum Jones was first introduced to Love Island viewers in 2020 when he appeared as part of the original male line-up. He and Shaughna Phillips quickly coupled up with one another and things were going well between the couple until the infamous Casa Amor.<\/p>\n

During Casa Amor, Callum got to know bombshell Molly Smith and, in turn, brought her back to the villa, leaving Shaughna single as she had chosen to stay loyal to Callum.<\/p>\n

Both Callum and Molly were dumped from the villa on day 38, however they continued their relationship on the outside and became a power couple. The pair moved in together and adopted two dogs.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are perfect. We\u2019ve got two dogs so we\u2019ve got a proper little family going, it\u2019s lovely,\u201d Callum previously told MailOnline<\/a>. \u201cThere [are] other things we want to focus on at the minute but obviously in the future it\u2019s definitely something we both want together.\u201d<\/p>\n

However after a three year relationship, the couple reportedly broke up in September 2023.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s really sad news as they were a sweet couple together, but it\u2019s over,\u201d an insider told The Sun<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Molly and Callum have since come face to face with one another in the Love Island villa, and it seems neither of them had a clue the other would be in there.<\/p>\n

It was reported by The Sun<\/a> days before the launch that the pair had been \u201clined up\u201d for the show.<\/p>\n

A source told the publication: \u201cIt\u2019ll be a shock for both of them when they come face to face in the villa \u2013 they only recently split and it was heartbreaking.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were both so sad after the break up \u2013 there\u2019s no animosity, so it\u2019s on the cards they could fall back in love in the villa.\u201d<\/p>
