Ever since The Good Doctor season 6 ended with some huge cliffhangers, audiences have been clamouring for the seventh season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And while fans will be thrilled to hear that the next instalment is set to land on our screens very soon, unfortunately it will also be the show\u2019s last, ABC announced earlier in January.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>The Good Doctor<\/span> has been a once in a lifetime opportunity, but it\u2019s time to say goodbye,\u201d co-showrunners David Shore and Liz Friedman and fellow executive producer Erin Gunn said at the time in a statement<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are incredibly proud of the work we\u2019ve done and the message we\u2019ve been privileged to be a part of. We look forward to giving our fantastic fans, the truly extraordinary Freddie Highmore, the rest of our talented actors (and friends), and the best crew in the business the series ending that you all deserve. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThank you, Sony; thank you, ABC; thank you all.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Highmore, who\u2019s also an executive producer on the series, said: \u201cPlaying Dr Shaun Murphy has been an immense privilege and one of the most remarkable and rewarding experiences of my life. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Good Doctor isn\u2019t the only long-running ABC drama set to end this season, with Station 19 also set to close out its run with a seventh outing.<\/span><\/p>\n

This marks the end for the Good Doctor franchise, as ABC recently chose not to go ahead with the proposed spin-off, The Good Lawyer, which was introduced as a backdoor pilot episode of the show last season.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Good Doctor season 7 release date<\/strong><\/h2>\n
The medical drama is slated to premiere on Tuesday 20th February 2024 on ABC at 10pm ET\/PT<\/strong>, airing weekly after that.<\/span><\/p>\n
Instalments will also air the following day on Hulu.<\/p>\n
