Sir David Jason and Jay Blades MBE are going on tour! <\/p>

Sir David Jason and Jay Blades<\/a> MBE will be joining forces as they tour the UK and meet talented crafters, hobbyists and enthusiasts. At each stop they make, they will be admiring others and learning some new crafts along the way.<\/p>\n

The new series will show a \u201clesser-known\u201d side to David as he reveals his life-long passion for creating and fixing things.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s great to be back on the nation\u2019s TV screens doing something totally different,\u201d Sir David Jason<\/a> said ahead of the series.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve played a lot of roles in my time but, to be myself, show off my creative passion and help the wonderful people we meet along the way resolve their mechanical masterpiece issues is very rewarding.\u201d<\/p>\n

When is David & Jay\u2019s Touring Toolshed on TV?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The first episode of David & Jay\u2019s Touring Toolshed will air on Monday 22nd January <\/strong>at 6:30pm <\/strong>on BBC Two<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The following episodes will continue to air on BBC Two throughout the week.<\/p>\n

What is <\/strong>David & Jay\u2019s Touring Toolshed about?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In the programme, David and Jay will park up their toolshed at the UK\u2019s various air shows, steam rallies, county fairs and vintage festivals.<\/p>\n

During their travels they will meet some of the UK\u2019s most talented crafters, makers and tinkerers and those who could use some help along the way.<\/p>\n

Each episode, the duo will attend a type of fair and meeting enthusiasts, tinkerers and crafters and call in talented experts to help fix their problem projects.<\/p>\n

As well as this, they will be heading out into the surrounding areas to meet the people whose hobbies have taken over their life.<\/p>\n

Who features in David & Jay\u2019s Touring Toolshed?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

As well as David and Jay, the episodes will feature different tinkers, enthusiasts and restorers.<\/p>\n

In episode one, David and Jay meet amateur automata maker Becky, who is hoping to learn how to make her creations move more elaborately.<\/p>\n

They will also be joined by automata expert Chris Margett, who works with Becky and \u201cteaches her how to motorise her sculptures\u201d.<\/p>\n

They will then head to the Midlands Air Museum to meet 94-year-old Gordon, who is a volunteer at the museum and helps reorder and maintain the aircraft on display.<\/p>
