It\u2019s official! Monogatari<\/a> is about to return with anime adaptations of the Off Season and Monster Season light novels<\/a> after five years away.<\/p>\n

A teaser video was recently released, unveiling new visuals and confirming that the adaptations will be coming this year.<\/p>\n

Off Season is a collection of short stories consisting of four arcs that occur throughout the Monogatari timeline.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Monster Season will continue the story of Araragi in six arcs as he heads off to university.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s not all \u2013 Midori Yoshizawa will take over as director. While she\u2019s helmed various episodes in Monogatari\u2019s history, this will be her first full season as director. Akiyuki Shinbo will return as general director.<\/p>\n\n<p>The last release from Monogatari was Zoku Owarimonogatari in 2018, <a href=\"https:\/\/bakemonogatari.fandom.com\/wiki\/Zoku_Owarimonogatari_(anime)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">arriving on streamers in 2019<\/a>, which followed high-schooler Aragi as he was absorbed into his bathroom mirror, ending up in a world where everything he knew was reversed.<\/p>\n<p>Fans are absolutely thrilled to hear that Monogatari will be back in action, with one commenting on the teaser video: \u201cLadies and gentlemen, we\u2019re officially on the timeline where Off Season and Monster Season anime exist.
