Of course, viewers were well aware that she was the contestant who had been \u201cpoisoned\u201d by the traitors, but as the realisation dawned on her, she named Miles<\/a> as her likely killer (an accurate guess).<\/p>\n The veterinary nurse had handed Diane<\/a> a fizzy wine the previous evening that didn\u2019t go unnoticed by the group, ultimately leading to his banishment<\/a> and exposure as a traitor.<\/p>\n Reflecting on her murder at the hands of someone she liked and trusted, Diane said that her \u201cgameplay became lazy\u201d as camaraderie grew among the group, advising future contestants to \u201cput friendships aside\u201d while in the castle.<\/p> She explained: \u201cMy strategy really was just to be myself and make sure I didn\u2019t make hugely deep friendships. I thought I was unlikely to, anyway, but that didn\u2019t happen. There were some people that I was really drawn to their personalities, and that detracted from any sort of gameplay I had in mind.<\/p>\n \u201cThere were some people that I wouldn\u2019t naturally meet in real life, but when you\u2019ve made friends and you\u2019re chatting and sharing bits of your life with somebody, it\u2019s actually then really difficult to think they\u2019re playing a really clever game, because you have made a connection and an assumption that they\u2019re nice people.\u201d<\/p>\n Diane continued: \u201cAnd there\u2019s an inside voice saying \u2018oh, if they can behave like that in this game then maybe they\u2019re not great human beings\u2019, which, of course, is not true. They were just playing a good game. I did, in fact, meet some people that I thought were really lovely.\u201d<\/p>\n Although Diane was a faithful in the game, she was famously hiding a major secret of her own: contestant Ross<\/a> was actually her son \u2013 and we now know what she would have done if he had been selected as a traitor.<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n Diane added: \u201cI decided that blood is definitely thicker [than water] so if that had been the case, if it had been Ross, I wouldn\u2019t have said a thing and would\u2019ve just let him win.\u201d<\/p>\n As it stands, Ross is one of only 11 remaining contestants<\/a> in the game.
