Is Fred going to be alright? <\/p>

Things aren\u2019t looking good for Fred (Cliff Parisi)<\/a> in this week\u2019s episode of Call the Midwife<\/a>, which sees the beloved character struggle with a pretty nasty looking hand injury.<\/p>\n

But the deep wound won\u2019t stop his wife Violet\u2019s (Annabelle Apsion) mayoral campaign, as she doesn\u2019t seem to notice the severity of Fred\u2019s injury.<\/p>\n

In an exclusive clip to RadioTimes.com<\/a>, we see Fred try to conceal the cut from his wife and Reggie (Daniel Laurie) but admit to Violet that he\u2019s \u201cnot feeling too good\u201d. \u201cI wonder if I ought to stay home,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n

But Violet can\u2019t entertain the possibility, saying: \u201cA mayoral campaign is about seeing the whole package and my package includes you, whether you like it or not.\u201d<\/p>\n

Violet then tells Fred the location and time of the campaign event, setting off early without Fred and Reggie but reminding Fred there\u2019s \u201cno excuses\u201d for not turning up. Fred then says that Reggie can set off too and he\u2019ll catch him up \u2013 but will Fred make it in time?<\/p>\n
