Filming is set to commence in early 2024. <\/p>
Colin Firth is set to star in a new Sky and Peacock<\/a> Original series based on the 1988 Lockerbie disaster.<\/p>\n The limited series will have a particular focus on the search for justice by Dr Jim Swire (played by Firth) and his wife Jane.<\/p>\n Firth will portray Swire, who tragically lost his daughter Flora in the event, and has pursued justice with his wife ever since.<\/p>\n David Harrower (Blackbird) is the lead writer, alongside Maryam Hamidi (Vigil) as a guest writer.<\/p>\n Otto Bathurst (Peaky Blinders) is lead director, while Jim Loach (Save Me) will also direct an episode.<\/p> The show will have five episodes in total.<\/p>\n In December 1998, 259 passengers and crew were killed when Pan Am Flight 103 exploded over Lockerbie 38 minutes after take-off.
