River is set to make a splash on Drag Race UK. <\/p>
We are eagerly awaiting the launch of series three of RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race UK<\/a>\u00a0this September, with this latest bunch of Queens ready to begin their quest to impress the judges.<\/p>\n One such queen is River Medway, who hails from Kent and who will find herself put up against a fresh batch of glitzy and glamorous Drag Race UK contestants<\/a>. They\u2019ll all have to bring their A-game for one to be crowned the winner of the latest series and to join the ranks of the two previous winners of the UK version of the hit show.<\/p>\n Here is all we know about River Medway so far.<\/p>\n Age:<\/strong> 23<\/p>\n From: <\/strong>Medway<\/p>\n Instagram:<\/strong> rivermedway<\/a><\/p>\n Twitter:<\/strong>\u00a0@river_medway<\/a><\/p> As her name would suggest, River is from Kent and that is a place where she feels the drag scene is lacking, saying: \u201cThere\u2019s so little drag in Kent, there\u2019s no specific style. And because of that, it\u2019s allowed me to do what I want. And here I am \u2013 a beautiful butterfly!\u201d<\/p>\n She is a huge fan of Hannah Montana (aren\u2019t we all?) and she has a huge love for singing and musical theatre, which will surely come in handy during the series.<\/p>\n River is out to make a name for herself on the show while also offering some representation for those like her that she feels she did not get to see when she was a youngster \u2013 she is the second Singaporean to compete in Drag Race after Vanda Miss Joaquim.<\/p>\n I\u2019m representing Medway, I\u2019m representing my Singaporean heritage, I\u2019m representing the working class, I\u2019m representing being queer and from a small town, I\u2019m representing everything that I needed to see growing up!!!
