The first director to ever work on an episode of Doctor Who<\/a>, Waris Hussein, has given his firm approval to the series\u2019s current showrunner Russell T Davies, saying he \u2018wishes\u2019 he had Davies\u2019s writing to work with when he was involved with the show.<\/p>\n Hussein, who directed the First Doctor stories An Unearthly Child<\/a> and Marco Polo, spoke exclusively with RadioTimes.com<\/a> at the Radio Times <\/strong>Covers Party 2024, where he relayed his thoughts on Davies\u2019s new era.<\/p>\n He said: \u201cIt\u2019s bound to change.
