With a brand new season of Doctor Who just months away, fans are wanting to have their burning questions answered about the new instalment and beyond.<\/p>\n
One of those questions that has remained the same is: Will Steven Moffat ever return to Doctor Who<\/a>?<\/p>\n Well, speaking to RadioTimes.com<\/a> at the Radio Times<\/strong> Covers Party 2024, the former showrunner revealed whether or not a potential return was on the horizon.<\/p>\n \u201cLook at my ageing face. How can I fit in? And I know, because I\u2019ve seen the feedback, that people think I\u2019m being evasive on the subject,\u201d he explained, before continuing, \u201cThe truth is, if I say anything negative about Doctor Who it goes everywhere, like boom, everywhere, right?<\/p>\n \u201cIt doesn\u2019t exactly bring joy to the world that I just say something negative about Doctor Who. The fact is, it\u2019s fine without me.\u201d<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n Moffat noted that the show now has the return of Russell T Davies, as well as other writers all taking part in creating an exciting new era.<\/p>\n He added: \u201cWe\u2019ve got Russell there. We\u2019ve got a bunch of new writers there. We\u2019ve got Ncuti [Gatwa, Fifteenth Doctor] there. It\u2019s all good.\u201d<\/p>\n Moffat previously addressed his return to the series in September during an appearance on Newsnight<\/a>, noting that the show is in \u201cvery safe hands\u201d with current showrunner Davies.<\/p> It has been confirmed that Doctor Who season 14<\/a> will debut on screens in May 2024, but a specific release date is yet to be revealed.<\/p>\n The new run will follow the adventures of the Doctor, played by Ncuti Gatwa, and his companion Ruby Sunday, played by Millie Gibson.<\/p>\n The 15th season<\/a> of Doctor Who has already begun filming, with Russell T Davies back at the helm, as well as the introduction of a new companion<\/a>.<\/p>\n While details of Varada Sethu\u2019s character are yet to be confirmed, fans have spotted Sethu and Gatwa filming scenes in Cardiff, as they find themselves in a peculiar situation.<\/p>\n\n
