It\u2019s a milestone few drama series get to, but Death in Paradise<\/a> is kicking off its 13th season in style \u2013 by celebrating its 100th episode<\/a>.<\/p>\n To mark the impressive achievement, some familiar faces from the beloved BBC drama, past and present, have wished the show a very happy birthday via RadioTimes.com<\/a>, and paid a heartfelt thanks to the fans for following the show from the very beginning.<\/p>\n \u201cCongratulations Death in Paradise on reaching 100 episodes,\u201d said Ben Miller, who played DI Richard Poole in the first three seasons of the show, and reprised his role briefly in season 10.<\/p>\n Kris Marshall, who played DI Humphrey Goodman for 30 episodes in seasons 3 to 6, before going on to star in Death in Paradise spin-off Beyond Paradise<\/a>, shared: <\/span>\u201c100 episodes, truly a testament to everyone who has worked so hard on the show over the years to make it so popular, and to turn the beautiful island of Saint Marie into somewhere so appealing to visit, despite its obviously appalling crime rate.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIsn\u2019t it crazy?\u201d added Jos\u00e9phine Jobert, who played <\/span>Sergeant Florence Cassell, with DS Naomi Thomas star Shantol Jackson <\/span>describing the anniversary as an \u201ciconic moment\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s fantastic, isn\u2019t it?\u201d echoed \u00c9lizabeth Bourgine, who stars as everyone\u2019s favourite mayor Catherine Bordey.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Meanwhile, Don Warrington, who has appeared in every season of the show as Commissioner Selwyn Patterson, also thanked fans for their continued support, and added his hope for viewers to continue tuning in.<\/p>\n Watch the video below.<\/p>\n
