All six episodes of Jodie Whittaker\u2019s thriller series One Night<\/a> have been removed from streaming service Paramount Plus<\/a>.<\/p>\n The show \u2013 which only debuted on the platform last year \u2013 is one of several original international dramas to have been taken off the library, with others including The Burning Girls, The Killing Kind and The Serial Killer\u2019s Wife.<\/p>\n According to Deadline<\/a>, the decision to remove the shows is part of Paramount\u2019s \u201cstrategy shift to favouring its Hollywood-style content\u201d and \u201cwider cost-savings efforts\u201d.<\/p>\n Australian series One Night starred Whittaker alongside Nicole da Silva (Wentworth) and Yael Stone (Orange is the New Black) as three friends who reunite 20 years after a traumatic event destroyed their bond, when one of them writes a novel about those events.<\/p> \u00a0<\/p>\n It arrived on Paramount Plus in the UK last November, having aired in Australia earlier in 2023.<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n Speaking to Radio Times magazine<\/strong> at the time of the UK premiere, Whittaker revealed what attracted her to the series.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cThe use of our younger versions within scenes, of flashbacks and memory; the celebration and complication of friendship; the exploration of trauma\u2026 I found that intoxicating,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n \u201cHorrific sexual assaults against women are shown on television all the time, but this point of view hasn\u2019t been explored before in anything I\u2019d seen.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
