The image (above) gives us a glimpse of Ayling\u2019s character, who is played by Nadia Parkes<\/a> (The Spanish Princess) and shows her about to give a statement to onlooking press in what looks to be her front garden.<\/p>\n The new six-part factual drama follows the true story of Ayling\u2019s kidnapping, which occurred in 2017 when she had travelled to Milan, Italy for what she thought was a photoshoot. In reality, the photoshoot was fake and Ayling was kidnapped.<\/p>\n The terrifying reality of Ayling\u2019s ordeal will be brought to the small screen by writer Georgia Lester (Killing Eve, Skins) and is based on research, extensive interviews, documented legal proceedings and Ayling\u2019s own book Kidnapped. The series is being made in cooperation with Ayling, with the first announcement for the series being made in April last year.<\/p>\n Since then,\u00a0filming for the series has taken place in Italy and the UK with the series set to land on BBC Three and iPlayer later this year.<\/p>\n According to the synopsis, the series \u201cwill tell Chloe\u2019s personal story in full for the first time, going behind the headlines to shine a light on the emotional truth\u201d.<\/p>\n The full synopsis for the series reads: \u201cThe series follows her terrifying kidnap, her bravery and resilience in captivity, and the subsequent court case that put her kidnappers in jail. Yet despite their convictions, Chloe faced headlines accusing her of faking her own kidnapping, and found herself at the centre of a media storm.<\/p>\n \u201cKidnapped asks why Chloe was blamed for her kidnappers\u2019 crimes. How do we relate to survivors of crime who make the front pages?
