As fans continue to speculate as to who will be taking on the roles of the Fantastic Four<\/a> in Marvel<\/a>\u2018s upcoming reboot, Michael Chiklis, who previously played The Thing, has said he knows who will be playing the character.<\/p>\n

Chiklis played The Thing in 2005\u2019s Fantastic Four and 2007\u2019s sequel film, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, and recently an image had been circulating purporting to show Chiklis on set as the character once again, alongside Deadpool.<\/p>\n

This would have suggested that Chiklis was either returning for 2025\u2019s Fantastic Four or, more likely, this year\u2019s Deadpool 3<\/a>, which is rumoured to feature cameos from a number of 20th Century Fox-produced Marvel movies.<\/p>\n

However, Chiklis has now taken to Instagram<\/a> to dispel rumours of his return, posting the image and saying: \u201cFYI folks\u2026 This is a FAKE. Sorry to disappoint.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo many people have asked about it, I feel it\u2019s necessary to clear this up. I do know who they\u2019re casting though.\u201d<\/p>\n
