The series from Noah Hawley is being called a “big imaginative reimagining” of the franchise. <\/p>

The long-awaited Alien series, a spin-off from the film franchise developed by Fargo<\/a> creator Noah Hawley, is in production now in Thailand, and we\u2019ve now got an update on plans for the show going forward.<\/p>\n

As reported in Deadline<\/a>, FX boss John Landgraf recently called the show a \u201cbig imaginative reimagining of that franchise\u201d and compared it to Hawley\u2019s work on another FX series, Fargo.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cIt was really fun to watch [Noah] take on the Alien franchise in the way I watched him take on Fargo, to try to figure out how to deconstruct where the magic of it comes from and what were the key ingredients and how he can deliver those ingredients in a different way without just repeating things that have been done before.\u201d<\/p>\n

Landgraf also confirmed that the show is \u201cdesigned to be an ongoing series\u201d, and explained how that could impact the future of Fargo, which has recently wrapped up its fifth season to critical acclaim.<\/p>\n
