The actor and TV host feels she’d be “quite good” on the show. <\/p>
Linda Robson has revealed she could join the EastEnders cast<\/a> in the near future, following recent talks with a producer on the long-running BBC soap opera.<\/p>\n The actor and television personality, best known for sitcom Birds of a Feather and daytime hit Loose Women, only has one soap credit \u2013 a 2018 cameo appearance on Channel 4\u2019s Hollyoaks<\/a> (alongside Janet Street-Porter).<\/p>\n However, according to a new column Robson penned for the Daily Mail<\/a>, she could have a fully-fledged role on EastEnders<\/a> at some point, as she expresses no intention of retiring from acting.<\/p>\n Robson wrote: \u201cOne of the [EastEnders] producers came up to me recently and asked why I\u2019d never been on the show. \u2018Because you ain\u2019t f***ing asked me!\u2019 I told him. He said they would have to do something about that.\u201d<\/p> It appears that nothing is set in stone just yet, so fans of the talent should take these comments with a pinch of salt for the time being, with Robson herself concluding: \u201cYou never know! I think I\u2019d be quite good on there, don\u2019t you?\u201d<\/p>\n The actor is indeed a Londoner, having grown up in the northern borough of Islington, so it isn\u2019t hard to imagine her rubbing shoulders with the larger-than-life personalities in Albert Square.<\/p>\n Robson will celebrate her 66th birthday next month, but told fans she isn\u2019t considering retirement out of fear it would leave her \u201cbored out of my mind\u201d.<\/p>\n EastEnders is currently dealing with the fallout from Christmas Day\u2019s revelations around \u2018The Six<\/a>\u2018, a group of women involved in a recent murder, while a hard-hitting storyline revolving around George Knight<\/a> (Colin Salmon) has also garnered attention.<\/p>\n As we await further updates on Robson\u2019s potential EastEnders casting, fans can continue to catch her on ITV\u2019s Loose Women, alongside the likes of Nadia Sawalha, Coleen Nolan and Stacey Solomon.<\/p>\n
