The Masked Dancer host has said, while he’s hoping the show returns, The Masked Singer is a priority. <\/p>

Joel Dommett has said that he\u2019s keeping his \u201cfingers crossed\u201d for The Masked Dancer<\/a>\u2018s return, but that it \u201cdoesn\u2019t matter too much\u201d if the spin-off doesn\u2019t come back for a second series.<\/p>\n

Speaking exclusively to RadioTimes.com<\/a><\/strong> ahead of hosting the National Television Awards, the comedian said he\u2019s still hoping The Masked Dancer is renewed for a second series.<\/p>\n

\u201cFingers crossed it comes back. It\u2019s a privilege to be a part of a situation where it doesn\u2019t matter too much if it doesn\u2019t come back because The Masked Singer<\/a> is the most important thing, really.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s nice to have that extra show in the middle of the year so we\u2019ll see whether they both happen or just one of them happens.\u201d<\/p>

Based on the American show of the same name, The Masked Dancer made its ITV debut in May, with all episodes airing across seven consecutive days in the summer. A spin-off of The Masked Singer, the dancing competition saw 12 celebrities, disguised as various characters, perform routines for the panellists \u2013 Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan and Oti Mabuse \u2013 who would then try to guess which famous face was behind the mask.The first series saw the likes of Jordan Banjo, Dita Von Teese, Eddie the Eagle, Zoe Ball, Craig Revel Horwood and Bonnie Langford take part, however it was Olympic gymnast Louis Smith who won the competition, having been revealed as Carwash.\n

As for The Masked Singer series three, the show\u2019s executive producers told\u00a0RadioTimes.com<\/strong> earlier this year that they were already planning some \u201cvery crazy, high concept ideas\u201d for the upcoming series.<\/p>\n
