The Carnival of Love seasonal event arrives in Pok\u00e9mon Go, bringing about plenty of opportunities to earn lots of XP and catch plenty of pocket monsters.<\/p>\n

With more than 1 billion downloads since its launch back in 2016, developer Niantic has continued to roll out frequent updates for the worldwide catch \u2019em all.<\/p>\n

That doesn\u2019t look set to stop anytime soon, with the game now into its eighth year of live ops.<\/p>\n

Set to continue the Timeless Travels tour that kicked off in December, the Carnival of Love looks to blend in both Valentine\u2019s Day and the Brazilian Carnival, with lots of colourful Pok\u00e9mon up for grabs.<\/p>\n

Better yet, there\u2019s an increased chance to take away some shinies. And who doesn\u2019t like a shiny?<\/p>\n

When does Pok\u00e9mon Go Carnival of Love start and end?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\nThe Pok\u00e9mon Go Carnival of Love event will begin at 10am local time on 13th February 2024 and will run until 8pm local time on 15th February 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\nThe event is now underway, so simply download the game on mobile and start playing right away to take full advantage.<\/p>\n<h2>What\u2019s included in Pok\u00e9mon Go Carnival of Love?<\/strong><\/h2>\nIn general, there will be an increased chance of receiving Candy XL when walking a Pok\u00e9mon buddy, as well as two Candy XL for evolving Pok\u00e9mon. A Luvdisc Tambourine Pose will also be up for purchase via the in-game shop.<\/p>\nAdditionally, the following will be available during the Carnival of Love event:<\/p>\n<h3>Pok\u00e9mon\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\nA number of Pok\u00e9mon\u2019s spawn rate will be increased, with a Shiny Oricorio in each style made available for the first time. The full list of Pok\u00e9mon are as below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oricorio \u2013 Baile, Pom-Pom, Pa\u2019u and Sensu\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Snubbull<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Skitty\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Luvdisc<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Furfrou<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Stufful<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Roselia\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Red Flower Flab\u00e9b\u00e9<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Blue Flower Flab\u00e9b\u00e9<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Yellow Flower Flab\u00e9b\u00e9<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>White Flower Flab\u00e9b\u00e9<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Orange Flower Flab\u00e9b\u00e9<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Quaxly<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\nMany of these Pok\u00e9mon have a chance of being shiny, too.<\/p>\n<h3>Field Research<\/strong><\/h3>\nSeveral Pok\u00e9mon will be available as part of event-themed Field Research. This includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shiny Snubbull<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Shiny Roselia<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Shiny Spinda with a heart pattern<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Shiny Clamperl<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Shiny Luvdisc<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Shiny Furfrou<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Shiny Stufful<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\nAll of these Pok\u00e9mon have a chance of being shiny, too.<\/p> <h3>Furfrou fresh trim<\/strong><\/h3>\nAnyone who has captured a Furfrou will be able to change it from a Natural Form Furfrou to Heart Trim Furfrou for 25 Furfrou Candy and 10,000 Stardust.<\/p>\n<h3>Collection Challenge<\/strong><\/h3>\nBy completing the Collection Challenge, themed around the Carnival of Love, players will receive XP, Stardust and an encounter with Roserade.<\/p>\n<h3>Brazil bonus\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\nPok\u00e9mon Trainers in Brazil will receive double XP for catching Pok\u00e9mon during the Carnival of Love event, in celebration of the Brazilian Carnival in Rio de Janeiro and S\u00e3o Paulo.<\/p>\n<h3>Paid research<\/strong><\/h3>\nPlayers will be able to purchase a limited-time research for \u00a31, which includes Stardust, XP, two incense and five encounters with a heart pattern Spinda.<\/p>\nAny Trainers will be able to purchase and gift tickets to any of their Pok\u00e9mon Go friends whom they have achieved a friendship level of Great Friends or higher with.<\/p>\nPok\u00e9mon Go is available to download on iOS and Android devices.<\/p>\nListen to our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/technology\/gaming\/one-more-life-podcast\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">One More Life podcast<\/a> and subscribe to our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/gaming-newsletter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">gaming newsletter<\/a> for all the latest intel.<\/strong><\/p>\nLooking for something to watch?
