No reunion any time soon. <\/p>
Emmerdale has aired a sad update over exes Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) and Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), and it looks like the pair won\u2019t be reuniting any time soon.<\/p>\n
Vanessa made her return to screens last week<\/a>, when best friend Rhona Goskirk (Zo\u00eb Henry) called her for help after kidnapping biological baby daughter Ivy.<\/p>\n While Rhona was arrested and later charged<\/a> at the police station, Vanessa caught up with sister Tracy Robinson (Amy Walsh). At the shop, Charity walked in with husband Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and her young son Moses.<\/p>\n Moses was thrilled to see Vanessa and her son Johnny, who Charity adopted when she was engaged to Vanessa a few years previously. Mack offered to take the boys to the park, and Vanessa and Charity had a quick catch-up over recent events.<\/p>\n Vanessa revealed that Tracy had also filled her in on what happened at Christmas, when Charity accidentally killed villain Harry (Robert Beck) and saved Mack\u2019s life. Charity has been suffering with PTSD ever since, and after Charity left, Vanessa remarked to Tracy that Charity clearly wasn\u2019t herself.<\/p> Alone with Mack, Charity noticed he seemed a bit put out over her friendliness with her former fianc\u00e9e. She told Mack that there were \u201cno lingering feelings\u201d there for Vanessa, but she was glad that they could still get on well.<\/p>\n Charity and Vanessa\u2019s strong relationship was, and still is, adored by Emmerdale<\/a> viewers, who dub them \u2018Vanity\u2019. Their romance reached an abrupt end in 2020, when Charity kissed Mack just as Vanessa was battling bowel cancer.<\/p>\n Now it seems there\u2019s little chance that the characters will ever get back together, although this is soapland \u2013 so never say never!<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n Emmerdale airs on weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
