Jordan North is leaving Radio 1 after 10 years at the station, the BBC has announced.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The 34-year-old currently co-hosts the Radio 1 drivetime show alongside Vick Hope from 3:30pm to 6pm, Monday to Thursdays, but <\/span>will be replaced by Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing<\/a> from 4th March.<\/span><\/p>\n

The news was announced by the BBC, with North<\/a>\u2019s employer paying tribute to the \u201camazing presenter\u201d and his 10 years of service.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cJordan has been an amazing presenter and a valued colleague at Radio 1, and I\u2019m so proud of his journey with us,\u201d said Aled Haydn Jones, head of Radio 1, <\/span>in a statement<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHe has always connected with the Radio 1 audience through his shows and projects, as witnessed by the huge amount of money raised for Comic Relief during his rowing trip from London to Burnley.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

North<\/a>, who is yet to respond publicly, joined the station back in 2014 as a freelance presenter.<\/span><\/p>\n

He was announced as the new host of the Greatest Hits Sunday morning show in 2018, before becoming a regular 11am to 1pm weekend presenter on BBC Radio 1 in 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2021, he was promoted to the BBC Radio 1 drivetime show.<\/span><\/p>\n
