Unsurprisingly, one of those honoured with an award for their work on the film was lead actor Cillian Murphy, and speaking to RadioTimes.com<\/a> and other outlets at the BAFTA<\/a> winners press conference, the Peaky Blinders<\/a> star explained how the film\u2019s success was a \u201cgreat reflection on the state of cinema\u201d.<\/p>\n Describing his win as \u201ca thrill\u201d he said: \u201cI think it\u2019s a great reflection on the state of cinema nowadays.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is a very complex, very challenging, three-hour, R-rated movie about a physicist and about, you know, a very kind of dark period in our history. And the people came to see it in huge numbers.<\/p>\n He added: \u201cPeople meet me on the street and say that they\u2019ve seen the film 5,6,7 times\u2026 like boys and girls, men and women, young and old.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd that\u2019s kind of staggering. And again, very humbling. But I think it\u2019s, like I said, a great reflection on the state of cinema.
