Fancy a first-class ticket to the world\u2019s best detective story? We thought you might.<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t take much input from the little grey cells<\/em> to know that as a nation we\u2019re utterly obsessed with Agatha Christie stories. Whether it\u2019s on the page, stage, or screen, we gobble up her works like a murderous vicar at dinner parties trying to act innocent.<\/p>\n

So, when it gets announced that a play of Murder on the Orient Express is set to tour around the UK this autumn, you just know it\u2019s going to be a hit.<\/p>\n

This September, Murder on the Orient Express is going on tour to 22 venues around the UK and Ireland. Starting off in Salford, the play will journey round to Glasgow, Cambridge, Newcastle and more, bringing the story of Christie\u2019s most famous novel to life.<\/p>\n

The show has been adapted by American playwright Ken Ludwig, who was responsible for the recent sell-out performances of And Then There Were None. Joining him is three-time Agatha Christie director Lucy Bailey who said: \u201cMurder on the Orient Express, fast, funny almost farcical at times but with a dark undercurrent of loss and revenge\u2026\u00a0\u00a0 A train stuck in a snow drift.\u00a0 The holed-up passengers all suspected of murder \u2013 what fun to be had!\u201d<\/p>\n

We wouldn\u2019t dare spoil the story for anyone who doesn\u2019t know it, but if you want a synopsis here it is: \u201cWinter 1934 and an avalanche stops the Orient Express dead in its tracks.\u00a0 An American tycoon lies dead in his compartment, stabbed eight times, his door locked from the inside. Trapped in the snow with a killer still on board, can the world\u2019s most famous detective, Hercule Poirot, crack the case before the train reaches its final destination?\u201d<\/p>\n

So, grab your magnifying glass, your moustache comb, and your best detective skills. It\u2019s time to get on the case!<\/p>\n
