The Force was strong with today\u2019s Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, with fans finding out the Nintendo Switch release date for Star Wars Battlefront: Classic Collection during the online event.<\/p>\n

That wasn\u2019t the only exciting thing in the presentation, either, with the first two Xbox games coming to Switch<\/a> also being revealed in the show.<\/p>\n

Even with those Switch 2 rumours<\/a> swirling, there doesn\u2019t seem to be any sign of slowdown in regards to new Switch releases.<\/p>\n

The Switch was already a haven for Star Wars fans, of course, with the likes of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic<\/a>, Jedi Academy and Episode I Racer among the bevvy of classic titles on the system.<\/p>\n

Soon, fans will be able to enjoy the original Star Wars Battlefront games on the Switch (not to be confused with the more recent EA remakes, of course). Check out the trailer below, courtesy of the port experts at Aspyr:<\/p>\n\n<p>The trailer\u2019s YouTube description confirms that Battlefront (2004) and Battlefront II (2005) are both included, along with loads of bonus content.<\/p>\n<p>In the first game, you\u2019ll get the bonus map Jabba\u2019s Palace.
