James King has been a busy man in the run-up to the release of No Time to Die<\/a> \u2013 hosting both the official podcast for the film and a two-part radio special on the music of Bond.<\/p>\n Speaking to RadioTimes.com<\/a>, the broadcaster and film critic revealed what direction he thinks the franchise should take next, following the departure of Daniel Craig, informed by conversations he\u2019s had with the head of casting.<\/p>\n \u201cI know everyone throws around names, and we\u2019ve all got opinions,\u201d he said. \u201cBut it\u2019s not an easy job. And I spoke to the head of casting, for example, who\u2019s heavily involved in these decisions \u2013 this is not an easy thing that they take lightly. So the decision will be very long and complex I\u2019m sure, which is as it should be.\u201d<\/p> He added, \u201cPersonally, I just think that there are no rules, really. James Bond or certainly 007 can look however they want him to look \u2013 him or her to look \u2013 you know, I don\u2019t think we have to sort of impose rules and say, \u2018Well, James Bond has to be like this,\u2019 or \u2018James Bond needs to be like that.\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cLet\u2019s keep the door open and just be very open-minded about it.
