He had purchased two New York warehouses from his friend Chester, who\u2019s based there, and he\u2019d done so with his own money, not that which belongs to Aylward Estates, which means the company cannot seize them from him as they have his car.<\/p>\n
The property market in the \u2018Big Apple\u2019 is supposedly on the up \u2013 with the district where Matthew\u2019s warehouses are located marked for massive redevelopment.<\/p>\n
\u201cChester thinks he can raise all of the necessary capital, so if we join forces I can see a return on my investment within five years,\u201d he explained to Trixie, visibly buoyant for the first time in weeks.<\/p>\n
But there\u2019s a hitch \u2013 and one that changes the landscape of their marriage.<\/p>\n
The partnership that he\u2019s formed with Chester requires him to move to New York immediately, for three to four months to begin with.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut if things go well, we can confirm it\u2019s a permanent move,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
